Although George Lucas’s classic Star Wars premiered in the USA in 1977, it wasn’t until 1979 that fans from Poland were able to see it in local cinemas. Full of dazzling special effects and fairy-tale romance, this unique movie immediately captured the imagination of Polish science-fiction and fantasy fans.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Star Wars in Poland. The StarForce 2009 convention will commemorate this special anniversary.

Here is my latest illustration - cover for a plish sci-fi e-zine “Perły z Lamusa”. I wanted to keep this thing in retro-futuristic atmosphere and refer to such magazines like Weird Science. The title refers to a popular TV programme “Perly z Lamusa”, which featured - among others - classic SF movies. The Roman numeral IV was added to suggest Lamus is a planet (within the constellation Titan).
